About Quasar

A staple in the Los Angeles area, DJ Quasar has been mixing since he was fifteen. He has graced the stages of numerous clubs and parties, each time bringing his special blend of charisma and good music. Quasar is one of the few DJs that takes the art and makes it an extension of his being. He takes it a step beyond matching beats and selecting tracks. Quasar creates, manipulates and uplifts the mood anywhere he plays. This may seem a little contrived, but until you've seen him play clunky words are all that one can give you to describe the magic that is seeing Quasar in action.

Quasar was introduced to House music back when Los Angeles actually had a radio station that played Dance music. Although Quasar didn't like House in the beginning, its infectious groove got under his skin and quickly became his favorite type of music.

As with all of Quasar's loves, he dove head first into DJing. He was introduced to the turntable through a high school friend. Amazingly, the first time Quasar spun two records together they were on beat! A week later he was playing his first party. Ever since, Quasar has taken the art of DJing to heart. By learning different styles of music and experiencing what different scenes have to offer, Quasar's assimilation of the music world has only made his DJing game harder, better, faster and stronger.

Quasar's natural ability and charm cannot hold a candle to his ambition. Taking his wealth of experience and love of Dance music, Quasar has begun creating his own compositions. These tracks will surely compliment his DJ arsenal... and those of other DJs as well.

Quasar has never been fond of being a "big fish in a small pond." He embraces the challenge of new crowds and seeks to take his gifts on the road. Quasar has stated that what drives him during his sets are the crowd's energy. If they have the willingness to party, Quasar will make it happen!

Like the aqueducts of ancient times, he guides his enegy like water into the thirsty realms few others can deliver. Quasar's combined talent and passion make him a force to be reckoned with.
